Recipe: Turmeric Latte

This fragrant, golden beverage is an excellent alternative to coffee or tea and packs a nice hint of spice. You can use dairy milk or your favorite nondairy beverage in place of almondmilk.

Turmeric Latte

Serves 2

1 3/4 cups plain almondmilk
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup, or to taste
2 tablespoons hulled hemp seeds
2 1/2 teaspoons Gaia Herbs Golden Milk powder
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more for sprinkling on top
2 teaspoons bee pollen (optional)
Pinch ground black pepper

Combine almondmilk, maple syrup, Gaia Herbs Golden Milk powder, ginger and cinnamon in a blender. Blend until frothy. Pour into a saucepan and heat over medium heat just until hot (do not boil). Pour into two mugs and sprinkle with bee pollen (if using), black pepper and a little more cinnamon.
